Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has started calling at London Thamesport with its the "Africa Rainbow Northern Loop service", serving ports on the Northern Europe and West Africa trade.

There are three 2,100 TEU vessels deployed on the service providing a connection for the MOL to the Asia Europe Express (AEX) service of The New World Alliance which is already calling weekly at London Thamesport.

Hutchison Ports chief David Gledhill said: “The decision by MOL to relocate this service is a great vote of confidence for London Thamesport. MOL has made us a port of choice in the past and has long been aware of the benefits of using the facility with its impressive turnaround times for ships and trucks.”
