WE Fashion has chosen Wipro Retail to implement Oracle Retail’s warehouse management and merchandise systems to enable European expansion.

As part of the program, the company has opted for core merchandising, price management, allocation, import management and an internal integration platform.

Since implementation, WE Fashion says it has already seen a number of benefits: for example, it only used to be able to open men’s fashion stores in Switzerland but following the roll-out is now able to open women’s fashion stores in the country too.

The company also has much better visibility of stock across the organisation. Koen Aben, information services director at WE Fashion, said: “We have immediate visibility of stock across the group. Throughout our supply chain team members now communicate with each other far more effectively and working relationships have improved dramatically.”

The technology is also planned to facilitate long-term growth. Aben added: “Our Oracle systems will allow us to support expansion introducing partnership models, while there are big expectations for rolling out our E-commerce site. With further expansion planned for other countries the integration of technology will help us reach our long-term objectives.”
