Italian wine producer signs LCB deal

Italian wine producer Zonin has signed a contract with London City Bond to store and distribute wine at its Tilbury depot.

Zonin is reportedly the largest producer in the Italian wine sector and was founded nearly two centuries ago.

Zonin is based in Gambellara near Vicenza in northern Italy and has vineyards across Italy as well and in the US. Zonin now possesses more than 3,700 acres of vineyards in Italy and produces some 25 million bottles of wine each year.

Tilbury depot is 470,000 sq ft and is located portside at Tilbury Freeport with CCTV systems, intruder alarms and IT systems.

Customers are now able to check their stock over the internet in real time and GPS handsets have been introduced to enhance the tracking of deliveries.
