Suzuki has renewed its distribution contract with CEVA Logistics (formerly TNT Logistics) for a further five years and added several new ranges of products.

The two companies have worked together since 1996 with CEVA delivering replacement car parts to Suzuki dealerships. The new contract has been extended to include the distribution of Suzuki parts to more dealers and an extended range to include marine parts.

CEVA now provides a next day delivery service of Suzuki parts to over 300 dealers throughout mainland UK. Dealerships can place orders up to 4pm for this service.

The contract is based at Suzuki’s Administration and Parts Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes which holds Suzuki GB’s parts stock for motorcycles, cars, outboard and power product ranges. Deliveries are made on a combination of vehicles ranging from 3.5 and 18 tonne rigids. The core fleet is supplemented by a number of regional partners. A new vehicle fleet and track and trace technology will be introduced to the operation later this year.

Wayne Dye, general manager parts and accessories division, Suzuki, says: ‘Our decision to renew the contract with CEVA reflects the close working relationship we have developed over the last 11 years. We look forward to the next five years as we progress with further synergies to benefit our customers.’
